The core funding that Kindale receives from Community Living BC goes to ensuring that our persons served have the basic necessities of a healthy life. However, it simply does not cover the costs of all the amenities and services that Kindale provides to individuals within the Kindale community. Money provided by donors is used to supplement and enrich the quality of life of the people we serve in a number of areas including:
Basic Necessities:
- Food
- Clothing
- Footwear
- Personal Hygiene products
- Non Prescription medicines and Vitamins
- Cleaning Supplies
- Furniture
- Building upkeep
Community Inclusion Activities
People with disabilities, like all citizens, desire to live a rich and inclusive life. This means being able to participate in activities that most of us take for granted such as:
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
- Using recreational facilities such as swimming pools, gyms and arena
- Going to concerts, movies and sporting events
- Going on outings in the community
- Participating in outdoor and wilderness activities such as hiking, kayaking and skiing
-

Most people with disabilities live on low, fixed disability pensions and simply cannot afford the admission or travel costs to participate in these activities. Your donation and participation in Kindale events helps make this possible.
